2024-25 Incoming Kindergarteners:

Children must be five years of age on or before August 1, 2024 to enter kindergarten. 

In preparation for kindergarten registration, please complete your kindergartener's Final Forms before registration.

If you already have used Final Forms for students enrolled in Dalton Local Schools, click LOGIN on the Final Forms screen and skip to number 6. 

** Final Forms must be completed before your registration appointment** Please make sure to click on the correct school year when completing the forms.

Registration for your student will be held on April 3rd & 4th by appointment only.  Your student does not need to attend the appointment.  Kindergarten Screening will be held at a later date.  

24/25 Kdg Registration Appt Signup 

Parents/Guardians should bring the following documents to registration: 

• a certified birth certificate

• social security card

• proof of residency (ex. utility bill with guardian name and address)

• immunization records and any necessary health paperwork

• custody papers (if applicable)

  • If applicable, the residential parent must register the child

  • Only a legal parent/guardian can register a student. If your name is not on the student's birth certificate, you must bring custody documentation.

Kindergarten Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment forms will be accepted for incoming kindergarteners but does not guarantee acceptance.  This form must be turned in to the Board of Education by May 1st.  A decision on acceptance will be made no sooner than the middle of August. You must enroll your student at your residential school. Please do not sign up for a registration time until you are contacted by the school with an acceptance notification.
